No confidence in UKIP’s Henry Bolton – should we be surprised? Should we even care?

Henry Bolton, Leader of UKIP and “former” boyfriend of  the alleged racist and Meghan-Markle-hating Jo Marney, has received a unanimous vote of no-confidence by his party.

https://news.sky.com/story/ukip-leader-henry-bolton-loses-no-confidence-vote-11217393

I’m not too sure how to feel about this one.henry bolton

I really couldn’t give a damn about Henry Bolton; he comes across as a sleazy little rat who’d sell his own Granny in order to get ahead in life. You just have to look at his choice of girlfriend to know what kind of guy he is.

But hey – you can’t judge him by his partner’s actions, or the people he associates himself with though, can you?

I say yes, you can to a degree – if you associate yourself with racists and altogether shitty people, then you’re pretty much going to be a shitty person yourself. You might not be racist, but you know that the people you call friends are and, by not disavowing them, you become guilty by association.

Unless you’re Hilary Clinton that is, and God knows if you say something along the lines of “enabled her husband by standing by him” the Left will have you for it…

I think the fact that UKIP’s ruling body have put in a no-confidence vote is a step in the right direction for the party; the less it’s associated with racism, the better.

To be honest though, it’s probably too little too late.

I’ve never been a UKIP voter, and probably never will. The party did have some ideals that I agreed with, and still do to this day: Brexit, self-government and common-sense policies regarding immigration. I seriously considered voting for them when Nigel Farage was the Gaffer, but ultimately, let my vote fall with the Tories to act out the will of the people.

The least said about that, the better eh?

For me, and probably a lot of people in this country, UKIP would have been a lot more credible as a party if not for the “guilty by association”  position it put itself in.

So now that the vote is in for Bolton, what now? He’s so far refusing to budge as Leader, but I think we all know he and UKIP are probably toast. Bolton was never going to be able to live up to Farage in the eyes of UKIP voters; (Paul Nuttall found this out the hard way) and certainly never stood a chance with the rest of the country. The party itself however, have never been able to shake themselves free of the tag of being “slightly racist” or “not as racist as the BNP, but still: racist”.

What little chance UKIP had of being taken seriously as a party, evaporated when Nigel Farage stepped down.

So, Henry Bolton, I have some advice for you:

Step down.

Do it now and you’ll have time to nab yourself a new girlfriend, just in time to see the party ultimately disintegrate into nothing more than a distant memory.

I’m sure Hitler will have some long-lost 25 year old relatives around somewhere?

Cathy Newman gets schooled by Jordan Peterson

If you are searching on YouTube for the following terms: “car crash interview” or “feminist fails” or “Interviewer tries to make someone look bigoted and fails dramatically” then look no further than this video.

The video shows Professor Jordan Peterson, a Canadian Professor of Psychology at the University of Toronto, being interviewed by the “absolutely lovely and completely non-biased, un-snobbish, non-ideologue”, Cathy Newman on Channel 4.

The debate, which covered such topics as The Pay Gap (myth) and the Patriarchy (another myth), showed exactly why an Interviewer needs to do their homework on the guest they are interviewing. If she had done, Newman would have known not to use her tried and tested technique of twisting someone’s answers into a negative context; all the while painting the person as the “sexist monster” she needs them to be in order to push a false narrative.

Professor Peterson is a highly skilled orator and an absolute master in the art of knowing his subject matter to a tee, and he absolutely showed it in this video.

Not once did he lose his temper, or raise his voice to assert his position on a topic; instead, using his ability to remember every single detail of his previous answers to swat away the ridiculously twisted assertions of Newman.

It was like a cat toying with a mouse.

Constantly being rebutted and corrected after giving false representations of what Professor Peterson was saying, Newman looked hopelessly lost and began fumbling over her questions, to the point where it looked like Peterson seemed to feel embarrassed for her.

Finally though, Peterson decided to move in for the kill and absolutely skewered Newman with this statement.

The way Newman completely floundered was comical, leaving Peterson to exclaim:

“Ha! Gotcha!”

From that point, the interview was over.

So, let that be a lesson to anyone who wants to try and make sweeping generalisations about someone by claiming false facts and twisting statements.

Always make sure you do your homework, and never turn up to a battle of wits unarmed.

Class dismissed.

A lack of transparency – Politicians Ignoring the electorate

Angela Rayner, Labour MP for Ashton-under-Lyne has blocked me on Twitter.

220px-Official_portrait_of_Angela_Rayner_crop_2

No, I didn’t harass her. I didn’t use foul-language. I didn’t threaten or abuse her in anyway shape or form.

I simply asked her a question. This one:

@AngelaRayner blocking @rantsen_things on @Twitter

Hardly what you would call an abusive Tweet?

My question was in response to her blocking another Twitter user; someone who simply asked if Ms. Rayner sympathised with Ester McVey, the new Secretary of State for the DWP, who was branded a “stain on humanity” and someone who “should be lynched” by Labour Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer John McDonnell.

Johnmcdonnellmp

Just so you all know; I’m fully aware that everyone has the right to block anyone they want, for any reason, on Twitter. Any abuse including threats of physical harm, death threats and so on shouldn’t be tolerated, whether the recipient is a man or a woman.

But blocking people for asking a question?

Come on Angela, you’re an MP after all. You’re job is to be asked questions by the public. Just because a question might show up some partisan hypocrisy in you, doesn’t mean you should run away from it.

It’s got to the point now with MPs that they can have an opinion on a matter; state it; and then simply ignore or block out completely, any sort of discerning voice. Nobody is allowed to question or disagree with anything that a politician says anymore, and that’s just wrong.

ignore

You’re elected by the people. For the people.

It’s your duty to be held accountable for the things you say and the opinions you hold. It’s not your job as a “voice of the people” to ignore the voters, for fear of looking bad in their eyes.

What kind of example does it set for people; especially young voters, when the very people they elect into positions of authority, can’t even answer a simple question about a subject involving abuse and ridicule?

It’s Orwellian at best.

Should you be asked to put up with abuse? Absolutely not.

As a Politician, should you be able to answer a reasonable and polite question with regards to your refusal to condemn someone who has made horrifically abusive comments?

The “Ayes” have it.

Feminism – The Gulf between Persia and the West

Although the majority of major news networks are barely covering it, (apparently there’s a big white truck blocking CNNs view) there is an uprising happening in Iran. Women are beginning to take off their hijabs and protest the Islamic dictatorship that is choking the very freedom from it’s people; particularly its women.

You look at what is happening in Iran; from Honour Killings to the fact that women’s testimony is worth only half that of a man’s, and you quickly come to realise that women are in desperate need of support to enable them to break free from the oppressive Government. The very things that modern Feminists in the West claim to stand for are being trampled on by Iran’s leaders, causing untold suffering to it’s women.

Yet, as the brave protestors in Iran are rising up and fighting back, the proud and strong Feminists of the West who have been fighting their own “oppression” and “torment” are silent. In fact, the only people I hear in support of these women are the very people Feminists claim to be Sexist, misogynistic, homophobic….you know the drill.

As soon as I learnt of the Uprising, I immediately knew that the Western Feminists would clam up. And here’s why:

THERE’S NOT A DAMN THING THE WOMEN OF IRAN CAN LEARN FROM THEM

The “problems” that Women in the West face are little more than a joke when you compare them with women in Iran or any country that even entertains Sharia for that matter.

Women in the West don’t have to do what a man tells them.

Women in the West don’t have to cover their heads or dress modestly.

Women in the West don’t have half the testimony of that of a man.

Women in the West are free to leave the Country without a man’s permission.

Women in the West can do anything they bloody-well please, whenever they please.

Western Feminists want “equality between the sexes”; the ability to be on a level playing-field with men.

Listen up Western ladies – you already have it.

It’s the rest of the world who don’t.

“But muh wage-gap!” I hear you cry.

It’s been debunked more times than the Flat-Earth Society.

So I’m going to ask all Feminists to stand with me and send your support to the Women of Iran and the rest of the Sharia-led world who are facing the kind of torment and suffering that you claim to suffer from.

Linda Sarsour. I will expect you to be at the front of the line with your hijab burning at your feet, ready to take on the oppressors of women. Lena Dunham. Anita Sarkeesian. Chelsea Handler. Samantha Bee. Hilary Clinton. Justin Trudeau. Barack Obama and all of you proud Feminists who call yourselves “Champions of Women”.

Your time has come.

Your chance is here.

Grab your Pussy Hats and form a march! March to Tehran and demand change!

This is the REAL fight you have been waiting for, and myself and the rest of the “Misogynists” are here with you.

AS EQUALS.

Laura Plummer – Drug Mule or Love Fool?

Laura Plummer, who was arrested in Egypt for carrying 300 Tramadol pills into the country, was jailed for 3 years and sent to prison.

Carrying Tramadol pills into Egypt is illegal, therefore; no argument right?

Wrong.

Karl Turner, an MP for Laura’s home town, Hull, has stated:

“[She was] going to visit her partner in Egypt, taking what she thought was a painkiller and no more than that,” he said.
“It clearly is a banned substance and whilst we must respect the law of other countries there must be good sense and fair play as well.”

Sourced from BBC News: For full article click here

Turner also goes on to say that Plummer was “naïve” and is “suffering from sleep deprivation and anxiety”.

Well Mr. Turner, here’s a little anecdote for you.

When the Car Tax system in the UK changed from a paper disc system displayed on a car, to the new system; I found myself in some hot water. I believed that when you bought a car that was Taxed, that the Tax would follow on with the car, and when it expired I would begin paying for it myself.

How wrong was I?

I ended up being pulled over by the Police and issued with a fine for driving an un-Taxed vehicle and a good talking-to about the importance of keeping up-to-date with current driving laws.

I was stressed. I was anxious. I was naïve.

Yet I was still guilty and completely at fault. I hadn’t done my homework and it cost me.

As it should.

Not being aware that something is illegal isn’t always the best excuse to try and get out of a sticky situation, particularly in a foreign country.

What gets me about this situation is not just that she took an illegal substance into a foreign country. She was in possession of 300 Tramadol pills. You can’t be prescribed that many at once, and you certainly can’t supply them to someone else. It’s illegal.

If you can’t have that many Tramadol at once, then she obviously obtained them in a non-legal manner; according to her family Ms Plummer was given them by “a friend”.

Did she not question her “friend”, (who no doubt said “Don’t tell anyone where you got them from”) about the legalities of carrying such a large amount of prescription drugs? She might not have known it was illegal to be given them or to give them out, or to even enter Egypt with them, but she must have known that something wasn’t right. You can’t even buy more than two packs of paracetamols in a shop, never mind carry such a large quantity of a Class C drug into a foreign country.

There’s just no way that there wasn’t any alarm bells ringing in her head. She may have been naïve about certain aspects, but certainly not all. And like I said earlier; being naïve doesn’t mean you didn’t commit an offence.

There’s an amazing thing called the Internet that can be used for all sorts of things like asking the following question –

“Does car tax transfer with the sale of a car?”

I could have saved myself some money and stress by googling this question, yet I didn’t and therefore had to suffer the consequences of my naivety.

You can also Google the following question –

“Can I carry an amount of Tramadol, a Class C drug which I’m not legally allowed to be prescribed in the UK and which weren’t actually prescribed to me but were given to me by a friend, into Egypt?”

I think she already knows what the answer is to that one.

On a final note, Karl Turner MP will no doubt be using all resources available to him in getting to the bottom of finding out who supplied the drugs to Ms Plummer I assume?

Or would that be NAIVE of me?

Akayed Ullah: The man from Brooklyn

Lone-wolf.

Local-man.

Brooklyn resident.

These are the terms that have been used to describe the man who tried to blow up and kill potentially hundreds in New York city today.

At the very moment that Bill de Blasio and Andrew Cuomo were speaking at a press conference on the streets of New York, Sky News was naming the botched Bomber as Akayed Ullah; a 27 year old Bangladeshi who had been living in Brooklyn for the last 7 years.

Sky News told it exactly like it was.

And that’s the only way it should be.

Enough now. Enough of this bullsh*t.

Enough of this idea that the identity of the perpetrator of acts like this should be shielded from us for as long as possible.

We’re not stupid.

Tell it like it is CNN, New York Post, Mayors’ Office, Governor Cuomo.

Let us know who these people are straight away.

I know it embarrasses you lot when it turns out NOT to be a White Nationalist committing these acts.

That doesn’t mean you have to deny the (mostly) inevitable.

Terror: the forbidden discussion

Here we go again people, here we go again. Another week on the Terror express that is sweeping Europe and the World. And it ain’t slowing down.

1 killed and several injured in Charlottesville, USA

15 killed and over 100 injured in Barcelona, Spain.

2 killed and 8 injured in Turku, Finland.

So where next? Where will be the target for the next over-the-top statement of ideologies?

The easiest way to answer that one is to grab a map, open it up, close your eyes and point.

It could literally be anywhere.

And that’s one of the two things that are scaring me the most.

The other? Not being able to talk about it.

You’re racist if you say it’s Islamic terrorism, and a Snowflake if you say it’s White Supremacy.

You’re an Islamic sympathizer if you say it’s not Islamic Terror and a Nazi if you say it’s not White Supremacy

It’s “bloody immigrants” say some people.

It’s “Lone Wolves” say another.

It’s everything to do with Islam/White Supremacy.

It’s nothing to do with Islam/White Supremacy.

Who do you believe? What opinion should you have?

Personally, I think all of these statements play a part in seeking an answer.

Does that mean I hate Muslims, Immigrants, or “foreign people”?

Does it mean I sympathise with Nazis or White Supremacists?

Absolutely not. I abhor anyone who uses their Race, Religion, Creed or Morals to justify killing and harming other people.

What I hate is that people are killing and maiming innocent people across Europe and the rest of the World and nobody can tell me why. Throwing out terms such as Nazi and Islamic Terrorist are equally useful and useless.

They are useful when they are describing people who openly adhere to the title that they are being given; James Earl Fields Jr is a Nazi and a White Supremacist who used his beliefs to justify killing Heather Heyer and attempting to kill many others, and the Terrorists who ran over people in Barcelona are Islamic Terrorists as they are using Islam as an excuse to justify their actions.

They are useless when you label an entire group, Race or Religion the same as it’s extremists. The majority of ALL races are decent people and we need to remember that. The majority of ALL Religious ideologies are decent people, and we need to remember that also.

There’s good and bad in every group of people in the World, no matter how many catergories you divide them into. The trick is to single out the bad ones and not worry about upsetting an entire group.

The good will always outweigh the bad unless we continue to label entire groups the same as their worst elements.

The bad, however, will outweigh the good if we continue to think that our own group is perfect and free from judgement.

Nobodies Race, Religion or ideology is perfect, and that is the biggest hurdle to overcome.

We need to condemn the worst elements of all the World’s ideologies – even when it’s our own.
